Living in Beverly Hills, and working in Venice, CA, I run into the fixie snobbery all over the place. It's kinda funny to me, that the dood who inspired the whole modern fixed gear movement, Sheldon Brown was a simple family dude with a strong work ethic, not a fancy, schmancy, hipster bike snob. Either way, there's my ride...and it has 2034 gears! Oh, and the other rad thing? It cost me about $100 in repairs, cables, new tires, seats, hub spindle, etc. Perfect price.
